Grime Ward / by DregsBane / web beta

Places worth noticing. Changes worth remembering.

Discover somewhere nearby. Keep a photo. Return to the same view. Help care for the places you come to know.

Grime Ward is the next chapter of Trash Trail. Place discovery, a private photo journal, shared litter observations and cleanup records now sit alongside the litter-and-water map.

Three ways to use it.

Find a place

Explore mapped public places and nearby events. Use your location when you choose, or select an area on the map. Check access, organizer details and source dates; mapped coverage varies.

Keep a visit

Save an original photo with a date, organize viewpoints and compare repeat visits. Your journal stays private on this device. Export a backup; these visits are not automatically uploaded or synced to an account.

Share useful evidence

Explicitly share litter photos, help identify observations or log a completed cleanup. Dates, organization credit and publishing terms remain visible in those flows.

Litter and water remain part of the story.

Trash & water uses the same atlas to show published observations, cleanup history and watershed context. Reports, cleanup activity and public water assessments are different evidence, with different dates and coverage. An empty area is not evidence that it is clean.

The published observation commons retains its Trash Trail attribution and CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. Private journals are separate from that shared dataset.

Where the beta stands.

The October 9 release is available on the web. Grime Ward 1.0, build 9, was also delivered to the internal TestFlight group. Public App Store availability has not been established. Real-device camera use, account sign-in and field usability remain testing work.

The beta keeps the existing trail.beta.dregsbane.com address so installed app identities and local journals do not change with the name.
